It operates with sharp focus on Public Policy and its translation into impactful programmes and actions that can engender life abundant for the people. The Publication has unflinching commitment to promoting social trust and civic virtues, which are salient motivations and vehicles for responsible citizenship, responsive leadership and good governance, towards achieving sustainable development. The publishing company, Essence Communications Limited, is a Public Relations, Integrated Marketing Communication and Publishing Outfit. It established Nigerian Essence Magazine in the year 2006 and recently, under the auspices of its Centre for Ethics and Civic Orientation, created The Rostrum, as a Platform for Quarterly Colloquium on Leadership, Civic Orientation and National Development. The Chief Executive of the company is Dr. Olusanya Awosan. He is a trained Journalist, Public Relations Consultant and Scholar of Ethics and Civic Virtues. He studied Print Journalism and Public Relations at the Nigerian Institute Journalism. He also attended the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), where he studied Religion/Philosophy. He bagged a Master of Arts and Doctorate Degrees in Socia Ethics from the University of Ibadan and Lagos State University respectively. He served in the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, as the Founding Editor of VillaScope, the official Magazine of Nigerian State House, Aso Rock and later as Special Assistant on Public Relations to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
